Abstract

This study develops a technopreneurship-based physical education model that integrates traditional South Sumatran games to enhance elementary students’ physical fitness and critical thinking. Using a development research design with pretest-posttest, the model was implemented in selected schools through planning, implementation, and evaluation phases. Data were collected via observation, performance assessments, and questionnaires. The model includes structured stages: preparation, warm-up, core activities using circuit-based traditional games, and reflective closing sessions. It was validated by experts and tested in the field. Results show significant improvements in students’ physical fitness and critical thinking abilities, alongside high engagement and participation. This model promotes active, culturally grounded learning by revitalizing local heritage within physical education. It offers an effective and practical alternative to conventional methods, aligning with technopreneurship, edupreneurship, culturalpreneurship, and critical thinking preneurship. The model supports sustainable educational development by merging physical health, cultural preservation, and 21st-century skills.
